چکیده
Arsenic (As(V)), a highly toxic metalloid, is known to contaminate wastewater and groundwater difficult degrade in nature. However, the development of efficient adsorbents, at low cost for use practical applications, remains challenging. Thus, investigate As(V) adsorption mechanism, novel porous α-Fe2O3/Fe3O4/C composite (PC-Fe/C-B) was prepared, using bamboo side shoots as bio-template, breakthrough performance PC-Fe/C-B composite-packed fixed-bed column removal evaluated, simulated wastewater. The material accurately retained hierarchical microstructure bio-templates, results demonstrated great potential composite, an effective adsorbent removing from wastewater, under optimal experimental conditions of: influent flow 5.136 mL/min, pH 3, concentration 20 mg/L, particle size < 0.149 mm, temperature 35 °C, dose 0.5 g, time 50 min (184 BV), with qe,exp 21.0 mg/g fixed-bed-column system. CD-MUSIC model effectively coupled transport model, PHREEQC software, simulate reactive transportation predict curve adsorption.

Porous Ba Ferrite Prepared from Wood Template
Ba ferrite materials with porous microstructures were prepared from a natural cedar wood template in order to investigate new electromagnetic shielding materials. The wood templates were infiltrated with barium nitrate and iron nitrate solutions (molar ratio = 1:12) and dried to form ferrite gel, then, they were sintered in air at a temperature between 800 °C and 1400 °C. The 1-dimensional poro...
متن کاملAdsorption of Heavy Metal onto the Materials Prepared by Biomass
The amount of heavy metal ions released into the environment has been increased due to industrial activities and technological development. Furthermore, indiscriminate disposal has caused worldwide concern for many years because of the toxicity, accumulation in the food chain, persistence in nature, and concentration by organisms [1–3]. Heavy metals are not biodegradable and tend to accumulate ...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of the Adsorption of Methylene Blue onto Synthesized Nanoscale Zero-Valent Iron-Bamboo and Manganese-Bamboo Composites
In this study, bamboo impregnated with nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) and nanoscale manganese (nMn) were prepared by the aqueous phase borohydride reduction method and characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and PIXE analysis. The synthesized nMn-bamboo and nZVI-bamboo composites were subsequently applied to the sorption of methy...
متن کاملModeling and mechanism of the adsorption of copper ion onto natural bamboo sawdust.
The sorption of copper ions onto natural bamboo sawdust with cellulose-lignin polymeric structure strongly depends on pH. The adsorption capacity for copper ions increases as increasing pH and copper loadings. The fitting of copper pH boundary curve by NEM surface complexation models shows that: three-sites model including the ion exchange reaction of permanent charge fits better than two-sites...

The present study evaluates the suitability ofactivated carbon, prepared from Cane Papyrus, a plant that grows naturally and can be found quite easily, which serves as a biological sorbent for removal of Cu2+ ions from aqueous solutions. Fourier transform infra-red analysis for the activated carbon, prepared fromCane Papyrus confirms the presence of amino (–NH), carbonyl (–C=O), and hydroxyl (...
